NEW - 5-hole players – Report to Magellan Course @ 8:30 a.m.- park at the cart barn with practice starting at 9:00 a.m.

NEW - 9 & 18- hole players – Report to Granada golf course driving range – 8:30 a.m. with practice starting at 9:00 a.m.

2-Day Junior Championship Tournament & Awards Picnic July 26th & 27th
PRACTICE & PLAY DAY INFORMATION
WEDNESDAY:
-
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. Players are assigned a tee time for Thursday play.

Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m.
-
5-hole players report to MAGELLAN golf course. Park at the Magellan cart barn. Volunteers will transport everyone to the course. After lessons, everyone will be transported back to the parking lot.

9- & 18-hole players report to GRANADA golf course driving range – Instruction begins at 9:00 a.m.
THURSDAY:
-
All play is at the Coronado Golf course.

Tee Times for 9 & 18-hole players start at 9:00 a.m.

Tee Times for 5-hole players start at approximately 10:00 a.m.
-
Cancellations - If you cannot make your tee time, PLEASE, call the Coronado Golf Course at 501-922-2355 to cancel.

Be respectful of our volunteers and their donated time.
ALL GOLFERS NEED TO CHECK IN 30 MINUTES BEFORE THEIR TEE TIME
AGE, COSTS, & DEADLINES

Ages – 8 years thru 18 (or a senior in high school). Must be 8 before September 1st.

TOURNAMENT:

Wednesday & Thursday, July 26 & 27. Registration MUST be received by Thursday, July 13.

NEW - Registration Fee – Tournament - $0 (must have 2 scores to qualify)

Tee times will be the same for both days of the tournament

Players are flighted & will play with others who score about the same during the season
PICNIC:

Thursday, July 27 @ Balboa Pavilion approximately 5:30 p.m.

Picnic - $12 for family members & guests
-
Picnic Fee for registered Junior Golfers including non-tournament players – FREE (must have a ticket)

Picnic fee for volunteers – FREE for those who volunteered their time during the season - (must have a ticket)

Applications for both are online (encouraged) and will be available on practice days at Magellan & Granada and on play days at Coronado Golf Course.

ALL MEMBER ORIENTATION IS Monday June 5th @ Balboa Pavilion – 4 P.M.
GENERAL INFORMATION
WHAT HAPPENS AT ORIENTATION?
Staff will explain the following:

Who attends – parents, grandparents/guardians & their junior

Membership cards and pre-ordered golf clubs will be handed out
-
How to get a tee time on practice days – tee times will be given to those at orientation
-
PLEASE DO NOT GET A TEE TIME if you cannot make it to practice on Wednesday.

Where to park for 5-Hole lessons at Magellan
-
What to do if there is bad weather
-
Late applications will be accepted for a late fee of $60
-
Membership cards are valid from June 1 of one year thru May 31 of the next year
Volunteer Opportunities:
-
Sign up to be an instructor on Wednesday
-
Volunteers are needed on Thursdays to drive a golf cart for each tee time to supervise.
PICKING UP JUNIORS
It is very important that you pick up your juniors upon completion of the clinic or play. This time could vary depending on the weather and/or speed of play. On Wednesday, please drop off and pick up your juniors at the Magellan cart barn parking lot across from Magellan Golf Course. On Thursday all play is at Coronado Golf Course.
PURCHASE OR TRADE GOLF CLUBS

Clubs & a lightweight bag can be purchased for a one-time fee of $30; When the junior out-grows their clubs, they can be traded for another set.

Information needed to order or trade clubs – give height in inches, whether left or right-handed and male or female.
-
ONLY PRE-ORDERED CLUBS WILL BE AT ORIENTATION.
GOLF ATTIRE
-
No short shorts
-
No tops with spaghetti straps, tank tops, or bare midriffs
-
Tee shirts with sleeves and no collar are acceptable, no vulgar writing on the shirts
-
Proper shoes should be worn; tennis shoes are fine
GOAL
The goal of this program is that each participant will have sufficient knowledge about golf and golf facilities to go anywhere in the world and feel like they belong, especially in Hot Springs Village, AR, and of course to have fun and enjoy the game of golf.
